Exams
  • The school has 3 terminal exams namely Quarterly, Half-Yearly and Annual Exams. In between Mid-Term exams, Monthly tests and weekly tests are conducted. Progress Cards are maintained. Special inspection on the maintenance of textbook and notebooks are done frequently. If Mid-Term exam is conducted in the pattern of objective type questions to enhance reading habit among students.
 
  • Parent-Teacher meetings are conducted every term and whenever necessary. All must attend those who fail to meet the teachers on the particular day will not be appreciated and attended in some other time.
Rules for Students
  • Students of Std. X and XII should be inside premises in their full uniform by 7.45 a.m. for the 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. class test.
  • After coming to school by 7.45 a.m. they are strictly not allowed to go out of the school till 5.00 p.m. in the evening.
  • Hereby the students are very strictly instructed to come to school straight from their home and after the school straight to their houses every day.
  • Students should not wear any gold ornaments, bring any valuables, electronic devices like I-Pods, Cell-Phones, Cameras etc. If found will not be returned till he/she completes his/her course in our school.
  • As long as students are in the school uniform their behavior should be decent and speak only in ENGLISH.
  • Boys must cut their hair short in front and the back. Forehead must be seen properly. They must not wear their uniform pants in low waist. No alteration should be made to shirt and pant we stitch.
Rules for Parents
  • Parents are hereby instructed to give them enough snacks and lunch. They should not be given any money for the above. In the time of real need they can approach the office staff for lunch. (Lunch can be brought by the parents and left in front of the office which will be safely handed over to the students).
  • Any halts in between or visiting other houses, parents entertaining the other students in any way will be penalized. In this way we want 100% co-operation from the parents if you want to save your child. The parent should directly monitor their wards during their study hours at home every day without any excuse. They should not be allowed to leave the house for any reason once they come back from school.
  • Please don’t avail any private tuition on his/her own or you don’t encourage any private tuition out side. The school will take care of the student’s studies.
  • The parents are strictly expected to go through their diaries every day and check the test marks before you sign it.
  • As a parent of a child you should always be alert in your child’s activities and visit our school regularly and enquire about your child’s progress in her/his studies and her/his behavior in the school campus. Parents are requested to give the correct phone number or mobile number and address for the communication in case absence, emergency or enquiry related to your ward.
  • Regarding your child’s term fees it should be paid in time it avoid unnecessary disturbance to your child. Parents who seek information or make any complaints should do so only to the PRINCIPAL by previous appointment. As a parent you are expected to discuss any thing regarding the school only to the Principal in her office.
  • We conduct Parent-Teachers Meeting every term on the days given in their Calendar. Parents are requested to meet the teachers concerned or the Principal without fail, instead of excusing yourself for not attending the meeting.
  • A book will be maintained for every student of std. X and XII as a case study book to enter any remark good or bad about him/her. We expect either the father or the mother to go through the remarks and confirm your visit by a signature with the date.
  • Any change in the address and telephone or mobile number should be intimated to the school office.

About St. Joseph's

St.Joseph's Matriculation Higher Secondary School managed by St.Joseph's Educational Trust, was started in June 1985 and was upgraded as higher secondary school in the year 1988.
